The first two of the series will feature the following instructors taking viewers through weekly training programmes:

Jose “Shorty” Torres: two-time IMMAF gold medallist, two weight division champion at Titan FC, UFC Veteran and current BRAVE CF flyweight contender.

“The show is something I wish I would’ve had growing up to help me in my game. Especially if I couldn’t go to the gym and or I was practicing by myself. It would’ve helped me be more accountable on my training while also teaching me a lot”

Brendan Katz: Owner and Head Coach Fight Sports Centre, EFC Veteran, UCMMA Veteran, XFC Africa Lightweight Champion, produced home-grown amateur champs every year since coaching full time, Former National team coach.

“I am excited to be working with Scuffle Media on this project, happy to be able to share my knowledge that I have accumulated over the years both the hard way in combat and through coaching. What I will be sharing is our particular brand of violence and how to take the fight where you want it to be. What we will be teaching is how to take your opponents strengths away from them and also how to become an exciting fighter”

The launch of Ready2Scuffle comes at a time when at home training regimes is rife and in the spotlight.

“Our vision of being able to provide mainstream MMA training, educate and give an understanding of the sport is being brought to life with the new Ready2Scuffle series. Areas where there are no trainers especially across the African continent will now be able to access coaching videos provided by world class athletes and trainers. This is just the beginning of the series and we look forward to expanding even further with different combat sports coaches and athletes and giving them a chance to take what they have learnt to a global audience,” Scuffle Media founder and CEO, Jason van Schalkwyk, said.

The reach of the current distribution across all of the platforms will take the series to over 350 million homes globally and this number continues to grow daily.

The new series will add to the already launched UMMA show that has been running across Africa since 2017 and will now also be broadcast to the extended reach of 350 million+ homes globally

“We are truly excited to add the Ready2Scuffle series to the already running UMMA show. There is more content to come within the next 6 to 12 months and we look forward to this really exciting expansion of the business,” said van Schalkwyk.
